Battery Electric Vehicle

Battery Electric Vehicle

A battery electric vehicle is one type of vehicle that uses electricity that is stored in the battery pack as its power source to generate an electric motor that will makes the vehicle to move. Its battery pack is rechargeable. One would simply have to connect or plug the battery into a wall socket, solar panel or other possible electrical source.

Battery electric vehicle has no emissions since its fuel is the electricity. This vehicle provides you a comfort driving due to its high performance, smooth and quiet driving experience. Depends on the type of the battery as well as the driving conditions, a battery electric vehicle’s limitation would range from 50-100 miles per charge.

Apparently, battery electric vehicle future seems to be vague since a lot of its major automakers have turned their attention to hybrid electric vehicles. People will look for a more effective and efficient vehicle that save money and environmental friendly. It seems that battery electric vehicle does not fit those requirements anymore. In some area they are replaced by smaller neighborhood electric vehicles.

Such vehicles can only run up to 25 mph (35 km/h) and only used in gated environments such as campuses or airports instead of highways or freeways.
