This is a great story. Today, the compact Audi A3 TDI was crowned as the winner of 2010 Green Car of the Year at the 2009 LA Auto Show. They wrestling the title away from the Volkswagen Jetta TDI – the last year’s winner. The award was presented to Johan de Nysschen (as the Audi’s United State chief) at a ceremony in LA.

And the 2010 Green Car of the Year award notice us as the ‘green car lovers’ that this is the second year in a row the clean diesel vehicle has risen to the top and become as the 2010 Green Car of the Year. In this year ‘competition,’ Audi A3 TDI has ‘beat’ the Mercury Milan Hybrid, Toyota Prius, Honda Insight Hybrid, along with the clean diesel VW Golf TDI.

Do you know why the jurors was picked the Audi A3 TDI as the 2010 Green Car of the Year? The simple reasons are because the Audi A3 TDI has rakish styling, upscale appointments, and fuel efficiency ratings of 42 mpg on the highway – which is a 50 percent improvement over the conventional A3 – that’s make this Audi car can operate in very economical and with low carbon emissions.
