New Hybrid Vehicle

New Hybrid Vehicle

New hybrid vehicle are not new technology. In fact, they predate the ICE (internal combustion engine) by quite a bit. However, the relatively lower cost of fueling ICEs made them a more popular choice, resigning new hybrid technology to the back burner.

Since gasoline engines have caused a the rising costs of fuel and the environmental damage, people are now starting to rely on electric power which has zero emission and are more fuel efficient.

A hybrid vehicle runs on both gasoline and electrical power. Electric power is generated from an electric motor. The definition of a hybrid vehicle is one that runs on two forms of energy. In the case of hybrid vehicles, most of them use both gasoline and electric energy. One new hybrid vehicle that is scheduled to be introduced to the public in 2011 is the Chevy Volt.

Latest news is that made in Detroit, April 1 (Reuters) – General Motors Corp (GM.N) has asked for $2.6 billion of low interest government loans to support the development of three new hybrid vehicles, according to a business plan update released on Wednesday.

New Hybrid Vehicle Technology

Second generation series technology is on the foreseeable horizon (2010, for instance). Series technology may be able to revolutionize the hybrid industry even further. What is series technology? Should your new hybrid vehicle purchase decision wait until these models are available?

Series technology is very different from current hybrid vehicle technology. These cars will still contain an electric motor and an ICE; however, the ICE will no longer provide any power for the vehicle’s wheels. The new hybrid vehicle will be capable of traveling for up to 40 miles without using fuel.

Once that 40-mile mark has been reached, the ICE will switch on, charging the batteries, which in turn supply the motor with the charge required to move the car down the road.

This has a tremendous advantage over the current new hybrid vehicle technology. While it may be another year or so, waiting for these models to make their debut it may be worth the wait and the best choice for your needs.

Electric Automobile

By: Johan Young

Before the invention of internal combustion engines, electric automobile were the way to go. Electric automobile history dates back to the early part of the 19th century at which time batteries were used to promote electric vehicles. As a matter of fact, the 1867 World Exhibition featured electric vehicles. An electric car broke the previously set speed barrier of 60 in 1899.

Oddly enough, we are now going back to electric automobile history to move forward as the demand for alternate means of energy is needed to fuel our vehicles. The rising cost of oil prices coupled with concern for the environment has made the concept of electric automobile much more endearing to the public. Because this technology has already been used, auto makers can now look back to electric automobile history as a way to move forward in the future when it comes to car energy

In fact the idea of electric automobile has been present even before the gasoline engine was invented. There is electric automobile history that is dating back to the 1800s at which time automobile manufacturers were trying to perfect the use of the automobile. Today, we look back at automobile history when we take a lesson for the future and try to come up with automobiles that run on energy other than gasoline.

BYD’s Plug-in Cars Face Technical Hurdles

The competition to give us with affordable plug in vehicles has a wild card. China with its BYD, the largest Chinese automaker, backed by investment guru Warren Buffet, makes a great combination of powerful forces – an enormous burgeoning low cost production, battery expertise, and domestic market – gives credence to the company’s plans to sell millions of hybrid-electric cars within just a few years. That’s if BYD can ‘conquer’ its challenges and technical problems. And that’s a big if.

<img src="http://www.1st-in-hybrid.com/images/plug-in-hybrid-car.jpg"alt="plug in hybrid car"title="plug in hybrid car">

According the Wall Street Journal’s is reporting that BYD’s e6 all electric cars is barely ready for the United State market – in spite of plans to carry the vehicle to the United State next year. An expert – tech chief of a global auto car – test drive the car and said that this hybrid plug-in car such a half-baked car. He said that the handling was ‘squishy’ and the ride was ‘rough.’ I think BYD will have a hard time selling the e6 hybrid plug in car at the predictable price of United State $45,000 – if the quality problems persist.

The Wall Street Journal explained that BYD does not have a good track record in keeping promises on product launches. Some industry analysts suspect there may be technical glitches plaguing its green vehicles, which include a hybrid plug in car called the F3DM, in addition to the e6.

According to Gasgoo, a website reporting on the Chinese auto industry, describe how BYD became the first automaker in the world to sell a hybrid plug in car, the F3DM, but sold fewer than 100 through August.

Yet, the promises keep coming.
