In July, the Board of Trustees at the Porsche gave the green light on the development of 918 Spyder, a 718-horsepower all-wheel-drive plug-in hybrid sport car with a claimed 3.2-second 0-62 mph speed and outstanding fuel economy . Expected in early 2012, Porsche has claimed nearly 900 potential buyers have signed up for hybrid Spyder, only 100 less than the car manufacturers say is needed for it to produce cars.
