Chevrolet Cruze Diesel compact sedan will be available in US and Canada in 2013. They’re gaining momentum in the United States, therefore the car will be manufactured in North America. And General Motors, the giant U.S. car manufacturers to take immediate initiative to assemble the Chevrolet Cruze Diesel to complete the line-up of the Chevrolet Cruze in 2013.
General Motor was initially reluctant to sell the cars in the American market – the Chevrolet Cruze Diesel was offered in Asia and Europe, but this is changing with increasing interest will of the community sector to the Cruze Diesel. Therefore, a spokesman from General Motors stated, “If market demand requires it in the United States, we could move quickly on it.” And apparently, the time has come.
Chevrolet Cruze Diesel for 2013
Today Chevrolet Cruze has become a big hit for General Motors this year. Total sales in June at the American automotive market reached 24,896 units – the best of country selling compact for the second consecutive month – a record even the average selling Chevrolet Cruze last five months reached 20 thousand units.
According to another source, Cruze Diesel will join with the Cruze Eco – Chevrolet Cruze Eco is also very successful in accounting for more than 20 percent of total sales. Using standard 6 speed transmission, Diesel Cruzes believed to be scored big hits in the United States. This is similar to the statement of Allen Schaeffer, Executive Director Diesel Technology Forum, which states, “General Motors has become a global leader in diesel engine technology and this announcement is great news for American consumers. We can predict the Cruze Diesel will score big hits in the U.S.”
Many people are optimistic with the development of the Chevrolet Cruze Diesel. It is not spared by the performance of which is the vehicle Cruze Eco – the most fuel-efficient of gas-powered/non-hybrid vehicles, with EPA average 42mpg on the highway. And when Eco merging with a turbocharged diesel engine, they will create a more efficient vehicle, more power, or some combination of both. Predicted Diesel Chevrolet Cruze will offer 50 mpg on the highway.
In my opinion, the Chevrolet Cruze Diesel will be the first American-made diesel cars in the 21st century, and this car will be scored big hits in the U.S. automotive market, if Chevrolet could provide best MPG with additional cost is not too expensive. How would it? We’ll see.
