- Check the fuses. Most of the fuse box under the dash to the left of the steering wheel. You will be able to identify the blown fuse as one with the broken metal strip in the center. Then, simply replace it with a new fuse of compatible hardware store.
- Fiddle with the window switch. Push it on and off quickly. If the windows move slightly, the switch of the connection is gummed up. Try squirting a small bit of rubbing alcohol or contact lens cleaner under the switches to clean them.
- Search for any loose connections and tighten them if necessary — You can check the cable near the fuse box. If the window starts moving, you know where the wrong connection and you can tighten with a screwdriver or have it replaced.
- You must check the electric motor in the rear door panel. And you may consult your owner’s manual for specific instructions. Tighten any loose connections or replace the motor if you find the electric motor look for loose connections or other visible problems.
- Contact your local mechanic or your dealership if these steps do not solve the problem.
