Here is a brief explanation about the types of hybrid vehicles.

Mild Hybrids

Chevrolet Silverado Hybrid

Chevrolet has introduced to the public its first full size hybrid truck, the Chevy Silverado Hybrid and GMC Sierra Hybrid (its sister model) to attract the attention of contractors. The 2005 gasoline electric model will be in automobile market in fall of 2004, and this vehicle – with a Vortec V-8 engine – can produce 295 hp and 335 lb-ft of torque.

Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid

Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid is the most impressive models of Chevy, the large SUV, available in 2007. The GMC Yukon Hybrid and the Chevrolet Tahoe hybrid will both receive a combination of the hybrid technology of Chevy. Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid

Chevrolet Equinox Hybrid

The Chevrolet Equinox Hybrid shares a hybrid system similar to the Tahoe Hybrid, which is expected to increase the fuel economy about 30 percent from the Chevy’s Hybrid Technology. This Chevy should be available as hybrid model in 2005 for the 2006 model year.
