Diesel Hybrid Cars: Technology of diesel cars has been around since 1936 and continues to receive good response from the users of vehicles as a car that has a good reputation for fuel efficiency is greater. And when diesel cars and hybrid cars to join the technology, then there was a mix of technology that ultimately we know as a diesel hybrid cars, and of course it makes its appearance in popularity become increasingly popular. This is not surprising because they blend to create the look and efficiency – ‘green‘ became the main factor.

Toyota Prius V – All Profits from the Prius, with more space.

Toyota Prius has been tortured to nearly 1 million sales since its introduction in 2000, and now the third-best selling Toyota passenger car. However, 50-mpg Prius familiar will cross from the shopping list of many consumers who say classical hybrid is not quite big enough. They want to fuel the star is packed with more space.

In response, Toyota will introduce Toyota Prius V for “flexibility” as the second model in the new Prius family car that also will include a compact version of the economic and plug-in model. Toyota Prius V will be sold in the summer of 2011. Prices have not been announced.

Toyota Prius V look a lot like the Prius, but has extended roof line, providing almost 60 percent more cargo space than the existing Prius,” said Doug Coleman, Toyota’s Prius product manager, in an interview with HybridCars.com. “That’s more than a small SUV.” Coleman said that the Toyota Prius Hybrid has been studying the idea more for several years, and decided that it was the right time to introduce the model.

At MPG, Beats All SUVs, Crossovers and Wagons

Toyota estimates that the Toyota Prius V will be assessed at 42 mpg in the city, and 38 on the highway-vehicle placed in an exclusive club with an average 40-mpg, not just on the highway. That’s better fuel economy ratings than the crossover SUV, the, or cart on the market. 134-horsepower, drivetrain with a 1.8-liter gas engine, electric motor and nickel metal hydride battery pack for the V-Prius is almost identical to those used in the current Prius model.

Toyota Prius V is a segment-buster that has been difficult to describe by consumers in the study of Toyota. “They’re confused. Some call it a cart. Some call it a crossover. Some call it hatchback,” says Coleman. “We say it’s really nothing matters.” He mentioned that the EPA would view as a secondary station wagon. “That does not do it justice. This is not crossover, because it does not have climbed high enough. And it’s not a minivan of course, because it will not have sliding doors. It has seating for five.”

Not quite as aerodynamic as the existing Prius model, Toyota Prius V still has a very low 0.29 coefficient of drag. Toyota said the new vehicle was designed from the ground up, not just stretching the existing Prius. Toyota Prius V is bigger in all dimensions versus the 2011 Prius.

Toyota Prius V rides on a wheelbase 109.4 inch wheelbase 106.3 inches compared to the conventional Prius. Toyota Prius V overall length of 175.6 versus 181.7 inches on a conventional Prius.

Exterior design is equipped with enlarged under the grill, panel backdoor change the shape, design, new rear lights and roof spoiler is used to increase air flow. But the Prius’s raison d’etre V more interior space. Expect the rear legroom is more generous; sliding second row seats allow for easier ingress and egress, and 34.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seat.

Toyota Prius V adds some cool features, such as the panoramic moonroof, and new Toyota Entune multimedia systems.

Like the current generation Prius, Toyota Prius V has four driving modes (Normal, Power, Eco and EV), a smart key system with push-button start, electronic shift lever; hill assist control, back-up camera, and seven airbags-all as standard equipment. Available options include LED lights are energy efficient, dynamic radar cruise control with pre-collision system, and parking guidance system.

The New Release of Toyota – Toyota Prius MPV

No one doubts the contribution of Toyota in creating an environmentally friendly vehicle. This company continues to innovate to display the vehicles are cool, sporty and environmentally friendly. And we can see their innovations in the Los Angeles Auto Show this month by Toyota RAV4EV. Interesting news about the electric drive vehicles.

And most surprising is that this company plans to release 11 models of new or redesigned hybrid in late 2012. The company currently has a major role in the development of hybrid cars in the U.S. by selling eight hybrid cars. And the plan they will be releasing six new models in 2012.

It’s 11 new vehicles or a redesigned this does not always translate into the release of a newer model than what we already know, but at least the tone aka 14 Toyota hybrids on the market soon.

The company said that they will release a small hybrid with fuel economy that exceeds 40 km / L, equating to a whopping 94 miles per gallon when testing in Japanese. It is too early to know how that would translate to United State standards, except that the mileage will probably beat all other current hybrid cars.

Other new models will be a Prius 7-seat V (sometimes called the Toyota Prius MPV), a Toyota last tease on his Facebook page, providing photos Toyota Prius MPV center console to satisfy the fans after the “leaked photos” that circulate on the web last month are proven false. Toyota Prius MPV will debut in January at the Detroit Auto Show.

Even Toyota didn’t give us more information or detail about the Toyota Prius MPV in Tokyo, but I get a little information from hybridcars.com that tells us about Toyota Prius MPV.

  • Toyota plans to price the iQ small EV-based dipping below 4000000 yen price tag carried by competitors such as Mitsubishi i-MiEV. Although it is unclear how it will cost for U.S. consumers, a price point directly convert to a place in the mid range of $ 40,000. The car will begin road trials in the United States next year.
  • Rates for the Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid will be at 3 million yen ($ 36,000) range when the car is released in Japan in 2012. Automaker said sales target for the Toyota plug-in hybrid will total more than 50,000 vehicles per year globally.
  • The company still plans to release a fuel cell hybrid in Japan around 2015. This car has managed to get a fee for vehicles under 10 million yen (or $ 120,000), and said it expects to lower rates further as production approaches.
  • Toyota reiterated its commitment to the development of next-generation battery, saying that it continues to invest in solid-state and metal-air battery research, promising a major breakthrough in energy storage and electricity. This new technology is very much still in the research stage, could mean the battery is smaller, lighter, and could enable electric cars to travel 500 miles on a single charge.

Toyota Yaris Hybrid – Great Movement from Toyota In Push to Small Global Hybrids

The new information that I read from hybridcars.com is Toyota is planning to produce small hybrid, high mpg, and affordable. First time the downsizing of hybrid cars in Asia and Europe, it would represent the shifting technology to major global markets where economies of scale means a dramatic increase in the production of hybrid cars.

The newspaper from Japanese – Mid-Japan Economist, reported that Toyota plans to produce hybrid versions of the Yaris subcompact – Toyota Yaris Hybrid, at its plant next April in France. This report at least one year following rumors of a small hybrid car scheduled for production at Toyota’s Valenciennes factory.

The other automaker that have a concrete plan to produce affordable small hybrid cars. The Honda CR-Z coupe went on sale last month, and next month at the Paris Motor Show, the company will reveal the Honda Fit Hybrid, which could come to the United States in the next year or two.

Critics argue that the hybrid system makes no sense for small cars, which is already relatively efficient. But environmental laws more stringent in the world will require lower emissions for vehicles of all sizes.

Hybrid Cars on the Global Scale

As we know, the story of Toyota’s other small hybrid in a work-Scion iQ Hybrid, first appeared in January 2010. A year earlier, at the Detroit Auto Show 2009, Toyota introduced the FT-EV is a pure-electric concept which shares a platform with the iQ. HybridCars.com in their news reported last week that Toyota is working on a hybrid version of Toyota Etios, a compact car for the Indian and Chinese markets. And in the America, Toyota is scheduled to introduce next year The CT200h Lexus, a luxury small sporty hybrid.

According to RL Polk, global sales of hybrids until June this year has reached 766 086 units, already exceeding last year’s total global production of 740 355. In other words, while hybrid sales have been flat in the US, a global hybrid production in 2010 will more than double the volume last year. Further improvements in the production of hybrids in Asia and Europe is likely to occur with the introduction of small cars are equipped with gas-electric hybrid drivetrains.

Increased global hybrid production will help automakers achieve economies of scale, especially with hybrid battery. If costs fall, then the technology can be applied-with little or no premium, for affordable models like the Toyota Yaris. Conventional Yaris is rated at 29 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the road. Hybrid fuel economy for the Toyota Yaris Hybrid depending on its design, could exceed the average of the Prius’s 50 mpg.
